Editorial Content

The editorial content of your communication vehicles must be tailored to your audiences and convey your message clearly. The Agency provides assistance with editorial content for both Web and print projects. We have two writers on staff who can provide “original writing,” that is, we help you develop your message from scratch based on your strategic goals. We can also work with copy you provide to help refine your message for greatest impact. Our writers, one of whom is a published author, offer a solid understanding of Notre Dame’s various audiences and can speak to them with a range of writing styles that fit your communication goals. We also offer basic copy editing and proofreading services for every project—copy editing for grammar, punctuation, style, and mechanics; developmental editing; and proofreading.

Editorial Policy

We proof for typographical errors and other issues such as grammar and punctuation problems, style issues that negatively affect legibility, and errors such as incorrect dates and times, misspelled faculty or department names, and misspelled or incorrectly used words. However, clients are required to review and approve all projects before they go to the printer. This includes insuring that all content is correct. Once the job is at the printer, the client is required to review and approve all proofs before the job goes on press.
