Amy Bladow

Project Manager

Amy Bladow

Who is Amy Bladow?

One of two resident Cheeseheads at the Agency, I am originally from God’s Country, otherwise known as Wisconsin. I am a graduate of UW-Wisconsin with a degree in Graphic Design – GO BADGERS! My husband Dan and I moved to Indiana in 1987 for his job with DowAgrosciences. Since moving here, I have had some wonderful experiences working for a couple of advertising agencies in the area, a commercial photographer and then the printing industry. The majority of that time was as a sales service rep for a few printing companies. Then in 2009 I was privileged to have landed here at Notre Dame and AgencyND.

My role at the Agency has evolved from initially helping to schedule and run traffic internally to now focusing on client internal service support on projects and management of print production (guess two decades of print industry knowledge is hard to get out of your system).

On a personal side, we live in rural Walkerton with two daughters, Sage and Tess.

What do you do at AgencyND? What’s so cool about that?

Depends what day and time it is. I split most of my time between managing projects on the print end of our business and managing the print production of all our print projects. Basically, I am the nag who is always asking the designers, “How ya coming with that?” and coincidentally, saying the same thing to our print outsources. There is never a dull moment…

What do you do in your down time?

To unwind I like to go to the movies, flea markets and shopping. I am an avid HGTV fan…so, as time permits I can be found watching Design Star, House Hunters, Divine Design, etc. which then get me hyped up about what I want to do next in the house (much to Dan’s distaste).

I also enjoy chasing the girls to their various functions such as marching band, spell bowl, volleyball, musicals, etc. with Dan.

What did you dream you would do when you were a kid?

As I kid I dreamed I would be working as a designer in New York City with a place overlooking Central Park. Crazy, I first visited New York City this past year…. how life gets in the way.

How did it come about that you work at Notre Dame?

Connections, connections, connections…

My previous position was at Mossberg & Company, a printer in town. The University of Notre Dame was one of the accounts I serviced while there. One day I happened to get a call from an individual at the Agency stating that there was a Project Manager position open and I should check it out. I did, and the rest is history, as they say.
