Who is Stephanie Tatay-Myers?

Well, I’ve made my living in the media for the past 10 years, specifically in radio, prior to becoming part of Agency ND. Fresh out of college I worked locally as the Promotions Director for U-93 and WZOW for a few years and put on many events such as Roof Sit and gave away lots of cool prizes like trips, cars and cash. Unfortunately I never got to win anything, but I did get to see a lot of free concerts and movies! I even had a radio segment about fashion each day. Such a tough life. Then I moved on to the “big” city of Indianapolis. I spent the last six years of my life in the Indy radio world working as an Administrative Assistant for the ESPN radio affiliate where I met a few Colts players (too bad I’m a Bears fan :)), got to ride in the pace car at the Indy Motor Speedway with the top down going over 100 mph. Also had the tough job of being a hostess for our suite at the Indianapolis 500 while mingling with Ashley Judd and Patrick Dempsey at the post party! After my ESPN days, I took on the challenging role of being the Operations Manager for the Hispanic Radio Stations in Indy. My favorite part of that gig was all the awesome food I got to eat. Que bueno! The language barrier was a bit of a drawback though. Then back in February my husband and I decided to move on back to South Bend with our new baby girl (she was nine months old at the time) to be closer to our families who live in the area. It's nice to have free babysitting. And being around the family isn’t so bad either.

What do you do at AgencyND?  What’s so cool about that?

I coordinate everyone’s schedule—what they should be working on and making sure that it gets done “in a timely fashion”. What’s cool about that? The power of telling people what to do and having them actually do it! If only I had that kind of power at home.

What do you do in your down time?

I enjoy running (I know, I’m crazy like that) and reading horror novels. I’m addicted to Dateline Mysteries and The Dr. Oz Show. My favorite days of the year are Notre Dame football Saturdays- go Irish! I also work pretty hard at being Ava’s mommy. She really takes up all of my down time, but I love spending every spare minute I have with her. She helps me run faster. Toddlers don’t walk, they run everywhere!  

What did you dream you would do when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a paleontologist. And then I realized I would have to work in the heat and the dirt. Not really my thing.

How did it come about that you work at Notre Dame?

When the decision was made that we were moving back to South Bend there was one place and one place only I wanted to work. They didn’t have any openings so I wound up at Notre Dame. Just kidding! It has always been a professional goal of mine to work at Notre Dame so here I am!
